Shared-account etiquette

Simple rules that keep the tools working for you and everyone else.

3 min read

When you open a tool at ZTOOLZ, you're using an account that other subscribers share with you. Any change you make to the account affects everyone, so we ask you to follow these rules.

Not allowed inside the tools

  • Logging out of the tool, as it can cut off access for everyone.
  • Changing the password or email of the shared account.
  • Changing settings, language, region or general account preferences.
  • Touching billing: don't change the plan or payment method, and don't cancel the subscription.
  • Deleting, editing or moving other people's files or projects.
  • Inviting members or connecting the account to other services or apps.

Good habits

  • Give your projects a distinctive name so you can find them easily and no one deletes them by mistake.
  • Keep a copy of your important work on your own device.
  • Don't put personal or sensitive information into shared tools, since others may see it.

Breaking these rules may lead to suspension without a refund.

Found something changed inside a tool?

If you notice a tool's settings have changed or the account has been logged out, don't try to fix it yourself. Open a Help desk ticket with the tool and account name, and the team will take care of it.
